spnrt.exe ?

Hi Chris,

How can we kill the "spnrt.exe" process to see if it is the one interfering with CD burner software?

A BOSS RMS user in our office is getting errors trying to use her CD burner on her new Compaq workstation. Our LAN Administrator investigated and finds a program "spnrt.exe" running. She can't kill the process, and deleting the program and moving it off the machine won't keep the process from starting. She finds the "spnrt.exe" file in the RMS directory.

Thank you,
Shawn L. Pike

Re: spnrt.exe ?

Dear Shawn :

I have a fresh install of RMS 2000 on my laptop. I searched all directories in the RMS installation folder and do not have this application. I don't think that this file is ours. Perhaps it is a virus altered file from somewhere?

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.

Sincerely,

Chris E. Maeder, M.S.
