Training Sessions

I was just wondering if there are on-line training sessions availible for RiverCAD. I am having trouble just getting started. How do I import survey topography from an AutoCAD file?

Nikki:

Note that we do not have any "online tutorials" for RiverCAD. Note that there are quite a few tutorials that come with the RiverCAD User Manual.

It is quite easy to get AutoCAD survey data into RiverCAD. Essentially, RiverCAD and AutoCAD have a very similar file format. So, in AutoCAD, save your drawing file as AutoCAD 14 DWG or DXF (or older) using File | Save As. Make certain to change the "File of Type" option in the Save As dialog box. Then, open the saved AutoCAD drawing file within RiverCAD.

Note that later this year, RiverCAD 2002 will be released which supports AutoCAD 2000 and 2002 formats, as well as MicroStation drawing file formats.
