ACAD command line window not displayed

Dear Chris:

I had a problem today with a missing Command Window in my old ACAD 2000. So, after a long time unsuccessfully perusing the help file for an answer, I tried searching the web to find out why it behave that way. It was when I came across this tip you gave to the Boss forum some months ago:
