Dear Tamara :

Yes, in RMS and RiverCAD, you can have externally referenced drawing files. However, AutoCAD limits how we can query externally referenced files. Thus, if you want to cut a cross section or do floodplain mapping using an externally referenced drawing file, it will not work. You have to bind the external drawing to your current drawing so that RMS and RiverCAD can access this data.
