Modeling an inline Obermeyer gate

Chris-

I just worked on a project in which an inline Obermeyer gate was installed in a ditch. I did the ditch modeling (proposed condition) without the gate, however now I believe it would be possible to model this. I don't know if you have heard of an Obermeyer gate before, but basically it is a steel gate panel that lies flush with the channel bottom and is raised by an inflatable air bladder from underneath it. The gate itself is slightly curved and is always submerged(acting like a weir). Would you suggest trying to model it as an Ogee type weir? Do you think that is possible? Or can you think of another way to model it HEC-RAS? Thank you .

Re: Modeling an inline Obermeyer gate

Dear Nikki :

I would really rather defer to the manufacturer and see what they suggest.

They can be contacted at: http://www.obermeyerhydro.com

Will you let me know what they state?

Sincerely,
