zero slope invert channel design

I am a irrigation engineer . My question may be very simple to most of you.
I want to design an irrigation canal with zero slope bottom invert. How is possible to design at this condition or if possible tell me the procedure of designing the canal especially selection of bottom width of canal for zero slope canal .
