Note that RiverCAD is running HEC-RAS within AutoCAD. As such, there are certain instances when HEC-RAS becomes a difficult program and does not behave well with others.
Try these items:
1. Restart AutoCAD and try running the HEC-RAS analysis again.
2. If (1) fails, then make certain your AutoCAD drawing file is contained in an MS-DOS like path, without long directory names and not nested too deeply into directories. Parts of HEC-RAS are written in FORTRAN and, for example, don't always do well when someone stores their HEC-RAS model (or AutoCAD drawing file) on their desktop or deeply on a network server drive.
3. If (2) fails, then press the F2 key and look at the command window. HEC-RAS might be writing something with regard to the model data missing an item. You can then make the appropriate changes and/or additions to your model.
4. If (3) fails, then export your HEC-RAS model out of RiverCAD (select Reach | Export HEC-RAS Project) and try to run it within HEC-RAS. This might shed light on why it does not run.
5. If (4) fails, then send us your AutoCAD drawing file and have our technical support staff review it to see what is wrong.
Please let me know if this helps.
