Define Floodplain Data

Hi:
I'm trying to map the floodway of an existing Hec-Ras model, I'm not sure what column I gave to filled on the define floodplain data window.

Thanks,

Re: Define Floodplain Data

To plot the floodplain results from either high water marks or from the results of a different software program, follow these steps:

1. From the RiverCAD menu, select RiverCAD | Floodplain Mapping.

2. Select Floodplain | Define Floodplain Data.

3. From the displayed Define Floodplain Data dialog, paste the corresponding water surface elevations into the "Elevation" field. Note that the water surface elevation for each cross section should be specified.

4. Alternatively, you can import the water surface elevation data from an external ASCII text file. Select "Import..." to select the file that you want to import. The ASCII file should have the left column containing the cross section ID and the next column (using tabs or space delimiters) as the water surface elevation.

5. Then, select what options you want for plotting the floodplain map results, and press OK.

Let me know if you have any other questions regarding this.
