Program hangs

Chris,
I changed on of my bridges to have piers and now it hangs. I am
using HEC-RAS module and I do both and no problem with the first, but when it does
the analysis it brings up the window and computes elevations up to the first bridge
then it just sits there. I left it for 30 min. and nothing. Any ideas. I can zip it and
send it to you if you want.

Dear Mr. Stewart,

I looked into the drawing files you sent us earlier today. In the drawing file which contains piers, at cross-section 21990, the third pier's upstream centerline station is the same as the second pier's upstream centerline station. This caused RiverCAD to misinterpret the geometry of the cross-secton and then the HEC-RAS engine ran into an infinite loop. If you change third pier's upstream centerline station to 439.00 which is the same as its downstream centerline station, the engine will complete the analysis. I think we will improve out model checker to catch this kind of situation.

Another thing I have to point out is that WSPRO method is used in the model but some of the WSPRO parameters are not defined. This might affect the result too.
