Floodplain mapping problems

I used the patch that you sent to me and it corrected the problems with the file that I sent Boss (and other copies that I have been working with while you guys were working). I now get plotted water surface elevations on profiles and cross sections, as well as topo delineation of water edge. [I haven't had this problem on other projects ... just on this particular file ... but anyway, the recent patch corrected the problem].

Now, on that particular topo, the problem I have is stray polygons drawn throughout in several places for the water surface delineation. I used the advanced water surface delineation routine (and as small as 1-foot computation intervals in the option menu). These are stray water surface delineations that I know are not real, so I have to go in and "explode" these polylines and manually delete them. I am suspecting a "bad" topo with stray elevation data that are hidden in the file. Does that seem like a reasonable explanation to you? Or is there something else that needs to be looked at?

Re: Floodplain mapping problems

Dwayne:

You must have some stray elevation data that is causing the problems with the
floodplain mapping. Once you eliminate this bad data, it should be able to produce a
nice map.
