Large drawing files

I've got a rather large topo map I'm working with (47 meg) and
it naturally is rather slow to deal with ( currently my computer
has 128 MB RAM, I will be upgrading to 256 or more soon).
My question is, AutoCAD Map has this thing called an ADE drawing set,
it takes a loooong time to initialize and close. It does not do this
with regular AutoCAD 14. Do you know if there is a way to "turn the
ADE drawing set off", so that AutoCAD Map behavies more like regular
AutoCAD. My AutoCAD 14 with RMS setup is temporary. I will be using
RMS with AutoCAD Map for the long term. Anyway to speed that combo
up will help a lot

We have a utility called CurveFIT that will reduce your drawing file size down to at
least 5:1 and up to 10:1 in size. This should eliminate the drawing file size problems
you are having.
