Procedure for using RCAD 2000

Dear Chris,

I have just spoken to Tony Veroeven and ordered RCAD 2000. I will be
downloading it from the Web and using a password to operate it. When RMS is
ready I will I will switch to RMS (I now have AutoCAD 2000 as part of
AutoCAD Land Development Desktop).

Tony told me that RCAD 2000 is significantly different from RCAD 3.5, and
that the Manual will not be ready for some weeks.

What I want to do now is:
Import a HEC-RAS file with multiple water surface profiles.
Produce a longitudinal profile drawing (water surface profiles + bed profile
+ bank profiles).
Export the drawing to AutoCAD to finish the drawing,

Could you email me the procedure for doing the above.

Ken

Re: Procedure for using RCAD 2000

Dear Ken :

The procedure for doing the tasks you listed below is essentially the same in RCAD 2000 as they are in RCAD 3.5. I think what Tony meant to say is that there has been some reorganization of the menu structure and dialog boxes, but that there have been significant improvements to the feature list in RCAD 2000. In addition, I will (hopefully) have a completed RCAD 2000 User Manual posted on our web site as a PDF file within 1 week (or sooner). The RMS 2000 User Manual will come shortly after this (since they essentially are the same document, just with different screen captures).

If you have specific problems or questions after using RCAD 2000, please contact me and I will address them directly.

Sincerely,

Chris E. Maeder, M.S.
