Report Naming

Hello,

It appears that RCAD will only save the very last report/analysis
generated. If you have several reaches in your drawing file, you can only
view the last one generated (assuming your using the same module, like
HEC-2). In terms of submitting a report to a government agency, the run
will have a certain date and time stamped on it. This document then
becomes a legal document. If you have 5 reaches in one drawing file you
should have 5 different generated results (not just the last one generated)
which can viewed at any time without having to rerun (and alter the
time/date). I think this becomes a more serious issue if faced with having
to present (any previously submitted document) in court, where for whatever
reason a hard copy can not be located, and it becomes necessary to print
another one.

Thanks,

Al Garcia

Re: Report Naming

Dear Al :

This is easily solved. Simply rename the report to represent the reach your are dealing with. You can do that using our ASCII Output Viewer by selecting the menu selection "File | Save As".

If you want the input file(s) to match the output file names, then simply rename the drawing file to represent the reach that you are currently analyzing. This is done using the "File | Save As" menu selection within RiverCAD. Then, simply run the analysis in RiverCAD and all of the files will match.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.
