Importing a DTM

Hello. I have a quick fairly simple question regarding quick surf. We are having some aerial photos made into DTM. My hope is to use the DTM and create contours that I can then use in RMS to create a hydraulic model. Is it possible to directly import in a DTM to DTM Module? I realize that there is a DEM import, do you use this? Thank you for your time.

Re: Importing a DTM

Dear Andrea Bendlin :

Note that DTM Module can import a DEM and contour it. RMS can also import a DEM and contour it.

If you have a DTM, then there might be a little work involved to make it work with DTM Module. There is no set format standard for DTM models, so you will need to get it into AutoCAD as AutoCAD entities, and then in DTM Module you can extract the contents of DTM to a DTM Module surface and generate a terrain model from this.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.
