Sub Basin Color

Is it possible to change the color of a group of sub basins and not just globally change the color for all of them?

You can change the colors of the subbasins based upon a property, such as area.

From the Horizontal Plan View, bring up the Display Options dialog by right clicking on the Horizontal Plan View and selecting Display Options from the popup menu. From the Display Options dialog, at the bottom there is a "Properties" section where you can select the subbasin property you want to map. Select the attribute from the drop down list. After selecting the attribute, make certain to turn on the Subbasins legend. Then, select OK.

After the Horizontal Plan View updates, you can then right click on the displayed legend and a Legend Options dialog will be displayed. You can then specify the colors and the range values to use for displaying of the subbasins.

what i was wanting to do was to make each drainage system a different color. i have several different outlet pipes and from there upstream, they intermingle a little. this was just a thought i had to try and keep track of them better. in short, i was trying to sort by downstream outlet.

Here is a trick you can use:

If you are not using a hydrology method that does not require an "equivalent width" entry for computing time of concentration (TOC), then you can temporarily switch to a hydrology method that uses that and define an equivalent width value for each of the subbasins. Use a value that could be used for mapping of the subbasin colors. Then, switch back to your previous hydrology method. Then, map the equivalent width as the property to display on the Horizontal Plan View.

I think you will get what you are looking for.
