Exporting Text Output

Hi All

Does anyone have any tips on exporting or copying the text output files into Word and have it appear in an orderly manner? I find that when the text is transfered things become jumbled due to the use of spaces instead of tabs. Really, I just want to have things appear a bit normal without having to go through and manually edit every line to get an acceptable appearance. Thanks!

After pasting into MS Word, select all of the text (press Ctrl-A to select All) and then change the font to a fixed spaced font, such as Courier or New Courier. You may need to change the font size to 8 pt (or smaller) or change the page orientation from portrait to landscape in order for some of the tables to fit on a page without word wrapping.

You should find that the report will now be very presentable.

As much as I love the ease of use of StormNET, I am still not happy with the report capabilities of the software. It causes the me way too much time to pick out data I need, then constant cutting, pasting, formatting, etc. It is not exactly efficient. Love the software - hate the reports. It makes me want to go back to our simple software, but I trudge onward in hopes you guys will improve on it...

Note that we are currently changing the reporting feature in StormNET to make it "best of class". As you can see in the rest of the software, it takes time to get things right. The reporting has always been on the bottom of the development list. However, I think that you will appreciate the new reporting feature when it is released.

I apologize for the delay in getting this out. Should be in about a month or so.
