Note that we provide an example model that you can look at that demonstrates how a subbasin interacts with a groundwater aquifer. Look for the folder called "Lesson Groundwater" in the StormNET program directory.
Make certain you are using the EPA SWMM hydrology method, and then in the Subbasins dialog, select the Flow Properties tab. There is an entry labeled "Groundwater Aquifer". Click on the [...] browse button to display the Groundwater Aquifer Assignment dialog to attach a groundwater aquifer to subbasin.
