Modeling Underground Detention Structures

Hello everyone,
I am trying to model an underground detention structure such as the Hancor Landsaver Stormwater System, it is basically a series of oversized pipes providing storage for a certain area and and usually placed under parking lots.

How would I model such a product on stormnet? Would I model it as a detention pond with storage at different stages based on storm water height? Or does Stormnet have a utility that allows direct modeling of this type of product. Please adivce. Thanks

Hi,

Yes, you could model underground detention structure as you mentioned in your forum question.

You could go to StormNET’s “Help | Online training videos…” and under “Defining” section you will find a video titled as “Underground Detention Storage Structures”. This video will guide you through to model an underground detention structure.

If you have any more questions, please contact us.

Thanks,
