Wet Detention System Storage

I am new to using StormNET and am having trouble using the software.

I am trying to model two playa lakes for a site and have noticed that when I run a storm event none of the precipitation is held in the ponds.

How do I model the ponds to show that during a certain rain event the upstream pond will hold water until the elevation of the upstream lake is exceeded and at that time the runoff will flow overland to the next pond downstream?

I have attached the model that I have set up.

I reviewed your model and corrected what I could. Here is what I ran into with your model:

1. The detention pond storage curve data was defined in terms of elevation, rather than depth above the pond invert. StormNET needs it defined in terms of depth. I have corrected this problem.

2. The pond weir data is not correctly defined.

The crest invert elevation for Weir-6 (elev = 3189.7 ft) is defined below the invert of pond 194A (elev = 3196.7 ft).

The crest invert elevation for Weir-2 (elev = 3197 ft) for pond 194 is above the maximum elevation defined for the corresponding detention pond storage curve data (elev = 3191 ft).

Please correct the pond weir crest elevations.

3. There is potentially a problem with the rectangular weir type defined. Note that there was a small bug with an earlier version of StormNET that did not model this correctly, and the temporary work around was to define it as a trapezoidal weir with 0 side slope. I changed this in the revised model.

Please review the updated model.
