BOSS International and its staff members are deeply involved in their community. Many donate their time and money to worthwhile causes such as the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, United Way, and other non-profit humanitarian organizations.
American Cancer Society Relay for Life
Each year BOSS International sponsors a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in which most employees participate. This 18-hour celebration of life honors and remembers those whose lives have been touched by cancer. This event raises money that will be used to help the American Cancer Society achieve the goal of eliminating cancer.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by volunteers which provides relief to victims of disasters. In addition, the American Red Cross is best known for managing blood services and blood donations throughout the United States.
Donating blood is easy, safe, and convenient. Donors may give blood at blood drives conducted at high schools, colleges, churches, companies, and community organizations. Red Cross donor centers also accept blood donations. The donation process only takes about one hour. Over 4 million Americans gave blood last year. A single donation of blood can save up to three lives.
United Way
United Way International (UWI) is an independent not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to strengthen communities around the world by mobilizing local leaders to organize professionally managed charitable efforts that identify and sustain local human needs.
