StormPACK is the most advanced, powerful, and comprehensive stormwater and wastewater modeling package available for analyzing and designing urban drainage systems, Stormwater & Wastewater Modeling stormwater sewers, and sanitary sewers. StormPACK is the only model that combines complex hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality in a completely graphical, easy-to-use interface.

Advanced Rational Method Stormwater Software

StromPack is a fully-dynamic hydrology and hydraulic stormwater software that can analyze both simple and complex stormwater systems. StromPack can be used for:

  • Highway drainage systems (including curb and gutter inlets)
  • Stormwater sewer networks and interconnected detention ponds
  • Subdivision drainage design
  • Automatic sizing and designing of detention ponds and outlet structures
  • Bridge and culvert modeling, including roadway overtopping
  • Water quality studies

Flood Data

The following categories of flood data are recognized: systematic records, historic data, comparison with similar watersheds, and flood estimates from precipitation. When developing a flood flow frequency curve, the analyst should consider all available information. The four general types of data which can be included in the flood flow frequency analysis are described below:

  • Systematic Records
Annual peak discharge information is observed systematically by many Federal and State agencies and private enterprises. Most  annual peak records are obtained either from a continuous trace of river stages  or from periodic observations of a crest-stage gage. A statistical analysis of  these data determination of the flow frequency curve is the primary basis for the for each station.
  • Historic Data
At many locations, particularly where man has occupied the flood plain for an extended period, there is information about major floods which occurred either before or after the period of systematic data collection. This information can often be used to make estimates of peak discharge.
  • Comparison With Similar Watersheds
Comparisons between computed frequency curves and maximum flood data of the watershed being investigated and those in a hydrologically similar region are useful for identification of unusual events and for testing the reasonableness of flood flow frequency determinations.
  • Flood Estimates From Precipitation
Flood discharges estimated from climatic data (rainfall and/or snowmelt) can be a useful adjunct to direct stream flow measurements. Such estimates, however, require at least adequate climatic data and a valid watershed model for converting precipitation to discharge. Unless such models are already calibrated to the watershed, considerable effort may be required to prepare such estimates.

StromPack includes:

  • Rational Method
  • Modified Rational Method
  • DeKalb Rational Method
  • Easy to define rainfall data via:
    • IDF (Intensity Duration Frequency)
    • BDE coefficients
    • ABCD polynomial coefficients
    • Intensity direct entry

Design Detention Ponds in Minutes!

StromPack automates your detention pond designs.

  • Automated detention pond design will save you hours of manual calculation time
  • Size and design a detention pond in just minutes
  • Easily compare pre- and post-developed hydrology conditions
  • Perform interconnected pond routing
  • Submit agency-ready reports
  • FEMA approved

Highway Drainage Design

StromPack automates your highway drainage design work. StromPack can simulate dual drainage systems (stormwater sewer network and city streets as dual conveyance pathways) and inlet capacity. It will quickly determine the amount of stormwater flow that is intercepted by the stormwater network inlets and the amount of stormwater flow that bypasses and is then routed further downstream to other inlets.

AutoCAD Integration

Leverage your AutoCAD® Land Desktop (LDD) and Civil 3D platform, by seamlessly sharing stormwater sewer design data with StromPack. Update a pipe size, invert elevation, sump elevation, or rim elevation, and have the updated change automatically reflect in the AutoCAD drawing. This sophisticated level of integration allows you to greatly increase your level of productivity.
